App Review: Instagram

Instagram is a fun, easy to use app where you can connect with your friends & express your days activities through photographs. It is basically Twitters opposite. You can post photos, with no limitations on the quantity per day, and like &/or comment on your friends photos as well. They recently added a new feature where you can post 10 second videos also. You can tag your friends &/or tag a location so people know where you took the photo and who you were with. They also have a wide range of filters you can put over your photos and other fun editing tools. Another great feature is the sharing tool where you can sign into Facebook, Flickr, Twitter or Tumblr and share your photo on your other social media accounts. Overall, I think Instagram is an awesome app that comes in handy when wanting to connect with people around the world. I believe its concept of using photos as a means of communication is both clever, unique and creative. I am also an avid user of Instagram so I know that there are certain features I think should be added. I think it would be really cool if you could make a favorites group on Instagram, an option where you can make groups like "celebrities" and in that group is all your favorite celebrities Instagram's that you can re visit whenever you want. I also think there should be more editing tools such as red-eye removal.

How To: Lose A Guy In 10 Days

How to lose a guy in 10 days: A daily guide & step by step plan. This how to question was inspired by one of my favourite movies; How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days... Stop Animation Video-Peer Reflection

I decided to do my reflection on Emily and Kahonwentha’s stop animation video because I appreciated how real their story was, how well put together it was and the transition between drawings and real life. I liked how significant the song was in respect to the story they were trying to tell. It really did have an impact on the whole experience. I really liked how they started out by drawing a red balloon then turned the balloon into real life and took the balloon all around the school. In my opinion, the red balloon was symbolized us as people, leaving our comfort zone and going on adventures, exploring & experiencing new things. It symbolized putting our dreams (the drawings) into action (real life).  I also liked how their colours were very positive & bright.  I also really liked how they used a hand as the transition from the drawings in black and white to those in colour. It shows how the just by us putting our thought into action or just standing up & taking action in our own lives, we can add colour & happiness. We have the power to do whatever we so please in our lives because we are the makers of our destiny. The frames were all steady & the lighting & filming were very consistent. Overall they did a very good job, it was simple but unique & very well put together. Their story line was very clear and that is what I think made there video so captivating. I also really liked how there was a hand that made the drawing black and white change into colour.

Learning To Love You More

http://www.learningtoloveyoumore.com/reports/53/53.php

I love this post because to be honest who wouldn't want to give advice to their past selves or just by a time machine and redo the whole thing? I really liked seeing what other people had to say and I actually found some posts that kind of applied to myself also. It was really cool seeing what other people have been through and how they would re do it and I loved that I was able to relate to people all around the world!

Reflection On Stop Animation Video

The meaning of our video is that love conquers all. To always be happy with you and not let anyone change that. When you are sad about something/someone, you go to a place where you can think and reflect and can become happy again, your “pocketful of sunshine”. We wanted to do something simple and unique. We were on YouTube searching for ideas and came across a stop animation video using pencils. This is where our inspiration came from because we loved the idea and built it from there, using other writing tools such as paint. One of the symbols we used was colours, especially yellow. For us these colours symbolize how full of life, happy, unique and simple Tia & I are. The yellow in specific symbolizes that even though there will be dark days (our black backdrop in one of the segments) there will always be brightness and happiness in the end. In other words, the sun will always shine again no matter how dark it may seem. I would like viewers to know how hard Tia & I worked on this project and how it reflects our personalities and emotions. We put the sequence of photos and segments in a way for the viewers to not only feel the emotion and message of the song but to feel our emotions & how we interpreted its message through our photos. I am completely satisfied with our final project because I know that we put our heart & 100% of our effort into this video, portraying not only our hard work but our emotions as well. We strived for excellence, trying our best to meet our own high standards for our-selves. We find stop animation very interesting so we really wanted to give out our all, push our limits and see what we could produce. I think what we could have improved on was making it a more consistent and stable environment when referring to zoom or lighting. Other than that, we believe that our message was clear and we full heartedly believe in our video and the hard work we put in to it. If this project has taught me anything it’s that always keep persevering even if something seems impossible… never give up. The end result is always worth it.
